we thank You for blessing us with Archbishop William Goh.
Pour out your Holy Spirit upon him and
sanctify him as Your ardent servant, consecrated in holiness.
Mould him into the true likeness of Your son
to be a compassionate shepherd to Your people.
Keep him steadfast in times of trial, ever faithful
in obeying Your will and zealous
in proclaiming Christ to the world.
May Your divine wisdom guide his every decision,
and Your strength sustain him in his apostolic ministry.
Mary Blessed Mother, through your prayers,
help him to imitate Christ’s humility and
self-emptying love so that others
may encounter Jesus through him, for the
glory of God and the renewed growth of the Church.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever.
we praise and thank God for His mighty works in you.
O Blessed Mother, Star of the New Evangelisation;
we consecrate the New Evangelisation
for Singapore to your Most Immaculate Heart and
implore your intercession for a mighty renewal
of the Catholic Church in Singapore.
We entrust to you all priests, Religious and laity.
Guide our leaders to imitate your humility and obedience
to God and to be docile to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
May all hearts be converted and re-ignited
with love for Christ and inflamed with evangelical zeal,
so as to bear witness to God’s loving salvation.
Mary, Mother of the Church,
unite us with the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
to be a people of communion in mission.
May your constant love and guidance
be the light of refuge that leads us to your son, Jesus.
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
I do not see the road ahead of me
nor do I really know myself
and the fact that I think
that I am following Your Will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please You
does in fact please You and I hope that
I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this,
You will lead me by the right road
though I may know nothing about it.
There I will trust You always,
though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for You are ever with me and
You will never leave me to face my struggles alone.
– prayer by Thomas Merton, Trappist Monk
Let Your Light shine in the depths of my heart and
I may know what You want me to do in my life.
Help me to believe that You have a special plan for me.
Lord, I know I pass through this life only once;
help me decide how You want me to make a difference.
Like our Blessed Mother,
give me the wisdom to hear Your Voice
and the courage to answer Your call.
Above all give me peace of mind and heart.
I offer this prayer in the
Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
– prayer by Thomas Merton, Trappist Monk
Help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere.
Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life.
Penetrate and possess my own being so utterly
that my whole life may be a witness, a radiance of Yours.
Shine through me and be so in me that every soul
I come in contact with may be aware
of Your Presence in me.
Let them look at me and
see no longer me,
but only You, Lord Jesus.
– By Cardinal Newman
Come, O Holy Spirit. Endow renewed hearts to the priests who represent the mysteries of the Lord. May their education and preparations be renewed, and make them realise how their ordination was truly a surprising revelation of the Lord, and keep them always young and new in spirit so that they may carry out their duties that come with the Body of Christ and His wonderful mysteries.
Come, O Holy Spirit. May the priests who are the apostles and followers of Christ be given pure spirits. And may they only love Christ who is the Almighty and is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. May they live their lives within the blessings of the Holy Spirit and understand the true abundance and depth of God’s love by subjecting their love only to God, and loving God with all their might. May they have the pure hearts of regulating, destroying, and avoiding all evils. May they have the pure hearts of children who have strong emotions and are able to be afraid at times.
Come, O Holy Spirit. May the priests who look after God’s people have generous hearts. May they listen to God’s Word that urge strong inner silence. For they not know the shameful ambitions and vain competitions of humans. May they only worry about God’s Church and make an effort to resemble God. May they have generous but strong hearts to embrace all churches and the whole world, to love all and to sacrifice for all. May they have generous but strong hearts to overcome all temptations and trials, all weariness and tiredness, and all disillusions and insults. Whatever sacrifice is called upon them, may they follow God’s will endlessly. May they beat their hearts in unison to God’s heart, follow God’s will with all their humbleness, faithfulness and courage. And may they have generous spirits to find the sole happiness there.
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,
to You I come at this hour,
begging You to plead with God for me.
I earnestly wish to be pure in thought,
word and deed in imitation of Your own holy purity.
Obtain for me, then a deep sense of modesty
which will be reflected in my external conduct.
Protect my eyes, the window of my soul,
from anything that might dim the
luster of a heart that must mirror Christ-like purity.
And when the “Bread of Angels becomes Bread for me”
in my heart in Holy Communion,
seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.
Heart of Jesus, Fount of all purity, have mercy on me.
I hope in You, I adore You, I love You.
I ask pardon of You for all those
who do not believe in You, do not hope in You,
do not adore You, do not love You. Amen.
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I adore You profoundly.
I offer You the most Precious Body,
Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ,
present in all the tabernacles of the world
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference,
by which He Himself is offended.
By the infinite merits of the most
Sacred Heart of Jesus and through the Immaculate heart of Mary,
I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.
– given by an Angel to the children seers at Fatima, Portugal
my entire liberty,
and my whole will.
All that I am and all that I possess,
Thou hast given me:
I surrender it all to Thee
to be disposed of
according to Thy will.
Give me only Thy love
and Thy grace;
with these I will be rich enough
and will desire nothing more.

thank You for being here, always available.
I pray that I may always keep this hour free
so as to come to You with love and thanksgiving in my heart.
Lord, I ask You to use me so I may bring others
to You and to my Heavenly Mother Mary.
Help me to grow deeply in Your love and
to appreciate more and more how much You love me.
