Instagram challenge for Season of Creation

This 1 September 2017, Christians all over the world will come together to celebrate the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, uniting with one purpose: to steward the Earth. This will launch the “Season of Creation” which will last from 1 September to 4 October (Feast of St Francis of Assisi).

Join us to make a difference in the care of creation! Renew your personal participation in this vocation as custodians of creation.

Let us “live our vocation to be protectors of God’s handiwork is essential to a life of virtue; it is not an optional or a secondary aspect of our Christian experience.” (Laudato Si’, 217)

Human beings are deeply connected with all of creation, when we mistreat nature, we also mistreat human beings. At the same time, each creature has its own intrinsic value that must be respected- Laudato Si’ 49
