Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, I would like to encourage us to pray for the upcoming US-North Korea Summit. Heavenly Father, we ask for the outpouring of Your grace on the momentous US-North Korea Summit here in Singapore on 12th June. We all desire to live in a world where there is peace, [...]
Dear Buddhist friends, On behalf of the Catholic community, we extend to all of you our heartfelt and warmest wishes as you celebrate your most sacred festival of Vesak, remembering the birth, enlightenment and final nirvana of Gautama Buddha. Indeed, enlightenment is what the world needs so desperately today. Greed for power and possessions, [...]
Faith in the resurrection of our Lord means that we no longer have to live in our tombs of unbelief and fears. As Church, are we risen in faith and in love? Let us not remain in our tombs.
"Indeed, as we watch this video we have much to thank God for. So many things and events have happened in our lives in 2017; for all these blessings, we want to give praise and thanks to God! Let us continue to work hard together as One Church. We have much to do for [...]
Today in the town of David a saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. (Lk 2:11) This is the news of great joy that we are called to share with all of humanity. This is what Christmas is all about, the birth of Christ, our Saviour and Lord.
Unity and peace among peoples is one of the most important aspirations of every human person and community. We desire to live in a place and a community where there is fraternal love, concern and charity towards each other. Without peace, there can be no security, progress and a future for humanity.

This year we celebrate the 165th Anniversary of Catholic Education in Singapore. To enhance the thrust of Catholic Education in our schools, we are celebrating the First Catholic Education Sunday in the Archdiocese in Singapore. We need to pray for wisdom for our Catholic educators in making wise decisions in forming our students in the Spirit of Christ, which entails a holistic formation that is spiritual, academic and in human qualities as well in communitarian involvement.
This is a very divisive world we live in. There is so much disagreement on all fronts - economic, political, religious, moral, ethical and social. We have extreme religious fundamentalism at one end, and hostile secularism at the other.
In solidarity with you all during this special time of prayer, fasting and good works, where you strive to deepen your relationship with God and neighbour, I wish you God’s abundant blessings. We are most fortunate in Singapore to be able to share in and express our solidarity with one another at various religious occasions and reiterate our mutual commitment to ongoing interreligious harmony and peace building.
