Adoration and Sacrament of Reconciliation Available
24 Hours for the Lord Explained
In his Lenten message, Pope Francis invites the entire Church community to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation in the context of Eucharistic adoration in the “24 Hours for the Lord” initiative. This year’s theme is inspired by the words of Psalm 130:4, “With you is forgiveness”. This is the 5th recurrent of the 24 Hours for the Lord initiative.
“The objective,” according to Archbishop Salvatore Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation, “is to offer to all – especially to those who feel uncomfortable entering a church – the opportunity to seek the merciful embrace of God”.
