Prayer Experience Retreat (PER)
This is a 3D/2N stay-in programme, designed to help individuals build up their prayer life and to deepen their prayer experience. It is especially recommended for Conversion Experience Retreat retreatants, following their Conversion experience.
Specifically, the retreat aims to:
a. Convict one of the need to pray, and the importance and power of Prayer and the Word.
b. Give a prayer experience: a God-encounter in prayer
c. Teach some methods of prayer

Sep 24 - Ignatian Contemplative Prayer, By Rev Fr. William Goh
Ignatian Contemplation is a form of 'fantasy prayer' as one meditates on the life of God. It is a powerful tool to help us to get in touch with our inner selves, revealing all our unconscious desires and motives for acting thus. More importantly, this form of prayer helps us to relate with Jesus on the level of feelings. It is thus helpful in making Jesus real to us, as a person, with flesh and blood, thereby enabling a personal and intimate relationship with Him. Ignatian Contemplation is also useful for spiritual direction, discernment of the spirits, practice of the awareness of God’s presence and most of all, for the inner healing of memories.

| Week of Guided Prayer @ Divine Mercy Church |
The Sojourners Companions will be conducting a Week of Guided Prayer in Divine Mercy Church from 24 – 30 October 2010. During this Week, you will learn how to pray Scriptures using either of two prayer methods – Ignatian Contemplation & Lectio Divinia.
We will begin the Week on Sunday afternoon to introduce the prayer methods and for you to meet your spiritual companion for the week.
Your commitment for the week: to spend 1 hour with God in personal prayer each day, and from Monday to Friday, to meet with your prayer guide for at most half-hour in church.
The Week will end with a closing session on Saturday afternoon.
Registration will take place after the weekend masses on 16 and 17 October 2010. Registration forms will be available from your parish office as well, or you may email us at sojourners@ catholic.org.sg
